Jitendra Singh, announced today that Kishtwar in Jammu and Kashmir is poised to
become North India's prominent "power hub," generating approximately
6,000 MW of power upon the completion of ongoing power projects.
During an extensive tour
of the remote and peripheral areas of the Kishtwar hill district, Dr Jitendra
Singh visited Gulabgarh in the Paddar area and the distant village of Massu. At
Massu, he inaugurated a new school established by "Shiksha Bharti"
for the village children. Dr Jitendra Singh, a renowned Physician and
Diabetologist, also took part in a Multi-Speciality Medical Camp organized by
the Indian Army in the village of Gulabgarh.
In a public interaction
held in Gulabgarh, attended by district administration officials, Dr Jitendra
Singh addressed local Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), including BDC
Members, Councillors, Sarpanches, and prominent activists from the region.
During his speech and subsequent media interactions, Dr Jitendra Singh
highlighted the significant development in the region, citing the establishment
of 6 to 7 major hydro power projects within a short span of 9 to 10 years since
Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office.
