On November 11, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath projected a significant
surge in tourism for Ayodhya, anticipating ten times the current influx after
Makar Sankranti and the grand inauguration of the Ram temple on January 22,
2024. During the Deepotsav celebrations at Ramkatha Park, CM Yogi, following
his homage to Lord Shri Ram, Mata Janaki, and Laxman ji, urged Ayodhya's
residents to commence preparations for the historic event from now onwards,
emphasizing the principle of 'Atithi Devo Bhava' (the guest is God).
Highlighting Ayodhya's status as Lord Shri Ram's cherished city, CM Yogi
expressed the government's commitment to transform it into the world's most
beautiful city. He called for a historic welcome for Prime Minister Narendra
Modi, scheduled to enshrine Lord Shri Ram in the grand temple on January 22.
Congratulating the people on Diwali, CM Yogi remarked on the global significance of the festival, occurring live in over 100 countries. Reflecting on the transformation of Ayodhya since the inception of the Deepotsav program in 2017, he praised the ongoing development projects totaling Rs 30,500 crores, with a projected future investment of Rs 50,000 crores. This investment is expected to create numerous job opportunities and contribute to the city's economic growth.
CM Yogi attributed the strengthening of Lord Shri Ram's vision of Ramrajya
to Prime Minister Modi's nine and a half years in office. He lauded the
government's efforts in addressing natural calamities, terrorism, and
prioritizing the welfare of the poor, including provisions for housing,
toilets, electricity, and a Rs 5 lakh insurance cover. The Chief Minister
highlighted the ongoing initiatives for free tests, treatment, vaccines, and
food grain distribution during the pandemic.
State Governor Anandiben Patel, in her address, underscored the global
impact of the festival of lights in establishing Ayodhya as Lord Ram's
spiritual center. She emphasized the cultural and social values embodied by
Lord Shri Ram and the Ramayana, anticipating positive changes in employment and
the economy due to the temple's construction.
The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, sages,
