· Public fails the Odd Even scheme in a survey conducted by Lok Abhiyaan as 68% respondents label it unsuccessful

· The public won’t let the phase three happen if there isn’t enough preparedness

New Delhi, 29th April 2016: MP Vijay Goel released a survey conducted with around 4700 participants on the issues of Odd Even 2.0. As the second phase was implemented without adequate planning and preparedness, people have overwhelmingly rejected the scheme this time according to the survey. The survey finds that 68% of the people have labeled the scheme a fail in its second phase.

People have been cheated in both the phases of the scheme. In the first phase of Odd Even i.e. Jan 1 to 15, all 15 days there were school holidays, apart from that if we add the weekend, Lohdi and Makar Sankranti, then government employees, small and large businesses and markets had holidays for 6 days. Similarly, in the second phase of Odd Even if one considers the weekend and other festive holidays then there were 6 holidays when government offices, small and large businesses and the big markets of the city were closed. Despite this, people have rejected the scheme.

Goel said that the day transport minister  Gopal Rai said that the BJP is behind all of the following mishaps during the scheme such as fire at the Bhalswa Jahangirpuri landfill site, breaking down of buses, auto rickshaws strike, traffic jams on roads; it proved that even the Delhi government feels that the scheme has failed and out of fear they are blaming other parties.  Rai had said that do a public survey, then I would like to say that here is the survey and the public verdict along with it.

Goel said that people would aggressively oppose the government from the very beginning if in future they implement the phase three of the scheme with such poor planning.

Reasons that emerge from the survey owing to which people are unhappy with the scheme

1.      Started without adequate preparedness 2. Exempted categories without any application of mind 3. Twice the registration of CNG cars 4.Expenditure of crores of rupees of tax money on self – publicity 5. Increased sales of scooter that are in dreadful condition that pollute the most 6. Exploitation by Uber and Ola 7.Difficulties while dropping kids to school 8. Using the more polluting taxi instead of one’s own car 9. All agencies including the CPCB show that pollution has increased 10. People less confident as the Delhi government was busy blaming others 11. People had to travel in overcrowded buses and metros and be pushed around 12. Terror of paying a fine of Rs.2000 13. Public transport especially buses were not increased 14. Other major sources of pollutions were ignored

Goel said the government is thoroughly confused. Labels it as a success on one day and the very next blames others for the failures of the scheme. CM and other ministers themselves resort to tokenism and do drama for a day. People’s biggest concern is not that whether this scheme would get a third phase or not but the fact that because of this scheme the additional 30% cars that Delhiites have bought will add to already congested roads post 30th April.

Why Arvind Kejriwal is silent on Augusta Westland, National Herald, Coal Scam?

Delhi BJP Challenges Arvind Kejriwal To Speak on Sonia's Role in Augusta Westland Deal & National Herald Case and on Fate of 370 Pages Proof Against Sheila Dikshit ?
Kejriwal Government Should Arrest within 7 days Mrs. Sheila Dikshit & her cabinet colleagues and his Own Ministers Accused of Corruption

New Delhi, 29th April.  Delhi BJP President Shri Satish UpadhyayChallanges CM Arvind Kejriwal to Speak on :

1. Does Kejriwal believe Sonia Gandhi is guilty of corrupt practice in Augusta Westland Deal and should be arrested ?

2. What is Kejriwal's stand on National Herald Case ?

3. What is the truth of 370 pages proof he used to cite against Smt. Sheila Dikshit & her Government and why is Kejriwal not ordering arrest of  Sheila Diskhit & others on basis of those proofs ?

4.  He should clarify his stand on the coal scam during Kejriwal-Congress rule and the accused former Central Minister Naveen Jindal in the case should he be arrested immediately?

Addressing the media persons  Satish Upadhyay said that the people of the country and the BJP do not believe in any claim of Kejriwal’s Party because they do not have a constant stand on any of these issues. Arvind Kejriwal was accusing the Congress of corruption till 2013, but in the same year his party formed Government with the support of Congress Party and after that he did not find any fault with the Congress Party. Today when the Kejriwal’s Party spoke in the case of Augusta Wasteland Case under the pressure of BJP not a single senior leader came forward. The people of the country today want to know from  Arvind Kejriwal who is master in tweeting that why he does not himself tweet about the case of corruption of Sonia Gandhi and demand her arrest?

Commenting on giving seven days time by the Aam Aadmi Party to the Central Government for the arrest of Sonia Gandhi,  Satish Upadhyay has said that the BJP gives seven days time to  Arvind Kejriwal to arrest the then Chief Minister  Sheila Dikshit and her cabinet colleagues accused of corruption and also get his Ministers Asim Ahmad Khan, Jitender Singh Tomar, Gopal Rai and Imran Hussain arrested for corruption and fraud.

Similarly, the Coal Scam is also one of the cases of corruption in which today the Hon’ble Court has ordered to frame charges against his friend Naveen Jindal. Now, the people of the country are waiting for the tweet of Arvind Kejriwal demanding the arrest of Naveen Jindal.

Upadhyay further said that the people of Delhi have seen for about two years that Shri Arvind Kejriwal was showing a report of 370 pages and publicised it as report on the corruption of Smt. Sheila Dikshit. But in the year 2013 he formed Government with the support of Sheila Dikshit’s Party and now after 15 months of his party majority Government today no action has been taken against the then Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit or her cabinet colleagues. In such situation today the people of the country want to know what was the deal between Arvind Kejriwal and Sheila Dikshit-Congress Party ?

Upadhyay also said that today Delhi is suffering from many problems, the drama of odd-even has failed and in order to save himself from this liability Arvind Kejriwal has given these responsibilities to his Minister Gopal Rai who is holding the schools, the opposition parties and now the incident of fire for its failure. We want to ask Kejriwal Government that were they aware of the fact that while planning for Odd-Even during the month of April, people will be facing scorching sun and the schools shall remain open.  Even otherwise the Government should know that the schools have to remain open and also the problems connected with traffic then why did it implement odd-even scheme without finding any permanent solution of this problem ?

Expressing his reaction to the statement of Minister Gopal Rai’s in which he has said that there is a conspiracy in the incidents of fire in Delhi since April 15 and also one of the reasons of pollution,  Upadhyaysaid that no Minister can give more irresponsible statement than this. Releasing the data of incidents of fire in Delhi from 1st April till date he said that due to scorching sun since 1st April the incidents of fire have doubled then why the Kejriwal Government did not care about it from the 1st to 15th April ? It is also worth mentioning here that the responsibility of fighting fire in Delhi is with Kejriwal’s Government and if the incidents of fire increased from the 1st April itself then what arrangements were made by the Government ?

The load shedding of power and shortage of water has started in Delhi, the roads are in bad shape and the PDS system has collapsed.  The Kejriwal Government does not take care of any public welfare and is busy only in the odd-even drama.

BJP demands that Arvind Kejriwal should clarify his position on the corruption during Congress rule and should desist from misleading the people of Delhi and concentrate on the development works in Delhi.

Sh. Vijender Gupta demands unconditional apology from top AAP leaders for blaming BJP for Bhalaswa fire

Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, Sh. Vijender Gupta today demanded unconditional apology from the four prominent readers of Aam Aadami Party in view of the report by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).  These leaders had blamed BJP for causing fire at Bhalaswa Sanitary landfill site to spread pollution in the city and fail the odd-even scheme.  On April 21, Environment Minister, Imran Hussain, Chairperson DJB Kapil Mishra, Ashutosh and Dilip Pandey had made concerted and mischievous attempt to put the entire blame to BJP.

Mr. Gupta said that the four member committee set up to probe recent fire incidents at the Bhalaswa etc. stated that the fire was caused due to generation of methane and unknown human error.  The report has failed to establish any conspiracy angle as alleged by Aam Aadami Party leaders.

Reacting to fire at Bhalaswa, Mr. Gupta had said on the day of incident it is highly condemnable to link fire to odd-even scheme.  He had said that it was a natural phenomena caused by emission of methane gas.

Guest Teachers lose jobs for participating in protests airing their grievances

Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, Sh. Vijender Gupta today strongly condemned in a letter to Sh. Manish Sisodia, Dy. Chief Minister that in a clear-cut case of victimization and undemocratic functioning highly objectionable on the part of a government department, the Directorate of Education of GNCTD has unfortunately terminated the services of a few Guest Teachers for participating in the protests, demonstrations and dharnas highlighting their grievances during earlier this month. The teachers were picked up on the basis of photographs showing them participating in protests appearing in various newspapers. The services of these teachers have been done away with only after the recent protests.  There was nothing on record against these teachers till date.   But after the protest, the administration has arbitrarily terminated their services on the most flimsy and fallacious grounds.

To quote a few instances, Leader of Opposition pointed out that Sh. Rohit Sharma, Guest Teacher, TGT Sanskrit has been relieved w.e.f. 21.04.2016.  The order dt. 21.04.2016 issued by the Principal says that he stands relieved “on the directions of DDE N/E telephonically “.  It is strange that termination is carried out on telephonic instructions.  Further, Sh. Shakil Admed has been de-engaged w.e.f. 21.04.2016 “on account of ineffective in his work, dereliction of duty and misbehavior with officers, staff and students is not good” reads the order of the Principal issued on 21.04.2016.  Thirdly, the services of a Dalit teacher Parveen Kumar have been terminated for poor performance and remaining absent.

As these teachers have replied in their representations that during the entire period of their services spanning many years, there was no complaint against them on any count.  But after the protests, they became eyesores in the eyes of high-ups.

Mr. Gupta strongly felt that grave injustice has been done to a number of guest teachers and their dependent family members. He demanded that their termination orders must be withdrawn with immediate effect.

MANDATORY CIBIL SCORING IN SBI EMPLOYMENT IS DENIAL EMPLOYMENT CAIT DEMAND SBI NOT TO DISCOURAGE EMPLOYMENT ON FILMSY GROUND

The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has strongly criticised State Bank of India (SBI) for making mandatory the condition of CIBIL scoring for recruiting Junior Associates (Customer Support and sales) and Junior Agricultural Associates in clerical cadre. It has stipulated that candidates with poor credit record will not be eligible for jobs at the country’s largest lender. According to an advertisement released recently, SBI has advised aspirants to check their credit history with the Credit Information Bureau Limited (CIBIL) before applying for the post in the bank. CIBIL collects and maintains records of an individual’s payments pertaining to loans and credit cards.

CAIT National President Mr. B. C. Bhartia & Secretary General Mr. Praveen Khandelwal said that instead of leveraging its focus on improving its NPAs, the SBI is in a denial mode of providing employment to youth of the Country.“The advertisement of State Bank of India rendering youth of the country ineligible for jobs if their credit history with CIBIL is poor or adverse, is not only illogical but also an injustice towards the unemployed youth of our country.”-said the trade leaders.

Both Mr. Bhartia & Mr. Khandelwal said that as of December,2015, gross NPA of SBI was Rs.72791.73 crores which was 5.10% and net NPA was 40249.12 crore i.e 2.89%. The figures do not include five Associates of SBI.

Mr. Bhartia termed SBI advertisement as “tughlaqi farman’. CIBIL is having share holdings by foreign corporate also. SBI wants CIBIL to certify the financial health of our youth in India. We have seen that in many cases, CIBIL scoring has been challenged as incorrect or not updated. It is also necessary to mention that if CIBIL does not have or has insufficient history of credit score of any individual, it mentions score as (-1) minus 1. It is possible that in case of most of our youth, there may not be sufficient credit history with CIBIL. In such cases, CIBIL may give its score as (-1) rendering all these youth ineligible for applying for SBI jobs.

Mr. Khandelwal said that the policymakers should have a positive approach and be sensitive towards the youth of the country. They should try to see as to how best they could give chances to maximum number of youth and select the best amongst them. “Even if any youth for any reason becomes ineligible for job, we should still give him a chance so as to encourage him to come into the mainstream of society rather than disqualify him and make him realise that his is not acceptable in the society. If the policy of ‘rejection’ is promoted in place of ‘acceptance’ then there will be a large scale of unrest amongst the youth which will have an adverse impact on the society as well as the economy of our country-added Khandelwal

Both Mr. Bhartia  & Mr. Khandelwal  said that the SBI , in the interest of the country in general and the youth in particular, should immediately withdraw such a condition. It would be better if State Bank of India is more concerned on the recovery of its huge non-per forming assets (NPAs) rather than disqualifying youth based on CIBIL scoring.
