Gang indulged in supply of narcotic substance busted : 2 accused arrested.

A team of PS Defense Colony, South District arrested two accused namely Tehsin @ Mohd. Tehsir, age 27 years r/o District Araria, Bihar and Ramesh Sharma, age 40 years r/o Sector-63, Gautambudh Nagar, Noida, UP and recovered 19 kgs. and 700 gms. ganja from their possession. On 25.04.16, secret information was received that two persons will come in Defence Colony area to deliver the Ganja. On receipt of this information, a police team Defence Colony was formed to arrest the culprits involved in supply of narcotic substance. The police team laid a trap in front of Lajpat Nagar Metro Station, Defence Colony. At around 2.30 PM at the point of informer, a TSR in which two persons were sitting was stopped for checking. The occupants of TSR were identified as Tehsin @ Mohd. Tehsir, age 27 years r/o District Araria, Bihar and Ramesh Sharma, age 40 years r/o Sector-63, Gautambudh Nagar, Noida, UP. On search, two bags containing 19 kgs. and 700 gms. ganja were recovered from the possession of both accused. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 137/16 u/s 20 NDPS Act dated 25.04.16 was registered at PS Defence Colony and investigation taken up. During interrogation, both accused disclosed that they used to procure ganja from the forest of West Bengal and supply the same in retail in JJ clusters in Delhi. They further disclosed that they used to pack the ganja in West Bengal in good quality plastic bags to prevent its smell in public while traveling in train from Kolkata to Delhi. After reaching Delhi, they conceal the ganja in their rented house in Sector 63, Gautambudh Nagar, Noida, UP and supply as per demand.
