WITH THE EFFORTS OF DELHI BJP THE STRIKE OF DISTRICT COURT LAWYERS IS WITHDRAWN

NEW DELHI,AKASH DWIVEDI,Taking a positive initiative to end the strike by the advocates of Delhi BJP Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay talked to the advocates and the concerned Central Minister in this context some days ago.
 Under the leadership of BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay a delegation of reputed lawyers, members of coordination group of District courts and members of BJP Legal Cell met Central Law Minister Shri Sadanand Gowda in his office today in the morning. Central Communication Minister Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad was also present in the meeting.


Satish Upadhyay informed in the press conference today that the meeting was held in a positive atmosphere and after that the advocates recalled their strike. Shri Upadhyay said that thousands of cases are heard daily in the District Courts and due to the strike of lawyers for the last 10 to 12 days, people had to face great difficulties. Everyone knows that if the concerned lawyer is not present on the day of hearing then the case is postponed from 3 to 6 months. In view of these difficulties and the genuine issues raised by the advocates during their strike BJP took initiative and succeeded in ending this strike.

Shri Satish Upadhyay told that in this meeting it was decided that the Law Ministry will forward the legislative proposal for increasing the pecuniary limit of the district courts in Delhi. In addition the Central law Minister Shri Sadanand Gowda will give his statement on the floor of House on Thursday 18th December.

On this occasion Chairman of the Co-Ordination Committee of All District Court Bar Associations of Delhi Shri R.K. Wadhwa and Convener Shri Sanjeev Nasiar said that the lawyers of Delhi have been demanding for raising the pecuniary jurisdiction of the District Courts for long and we raised this issue before various Governments and went on strike previously but the way in which Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay made efforts to solve this problem the entire Lawyer Community of Delhi is obliged to Shri Upadhyay. Thanking the lawyers of Delhi and the Central Government, he expressed hope that the Government will introduce Bill for this purpose in this week in the Parliament and after the introduction of the Bill the Lawyers Community will greet Delhi BJP in the court premises.

All the representatives of District Courts who participated in the morning meeting, representatives of Bar Council of Delhi and office bearers of BJP Legal Cell S.Shri R.K. Wadhwa, Sanjeev Nasiar, Divyadeep Sharma, Dinesh Mudgil, I.S. Saroha, Arun Sharma, Karnail Singh, Subhash Tanwar, Vinod Sharma, Anil Soni, Ajay Digpaul, Neeraj, Virendra Pratap and Ms. Shubhra Parashar were also present in the press conference organized at BJP Office today.
