The police team of PS Fatehpur Beri, South District has arrested two bootleggers namely Satender Kumar r/o District Palwal, Haryana and Ravi Aaherwar r/o District Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh, recovered 24 cartons of illicit liquor and one Alto Car used in commission of crime. On 25.04.16 at around 7 PM, Ct. Pooran Singh while patrolling in the beat received a specific input about a car carrying illicit liquor in that area. While he was moving from Mandi village towards Dera village, he spotted an Alto car in which two persons were sitting in suspicious condition. He followed the car and cornered it near Dera Mode. The occupants were identified as Satender Kumar r/o District Palwal, Haryana and Ravi Aaherwar r/o District Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh. On suspicion, Ct. Pooran apprehended both occupants of car and called for reinforcement from the police station. Immediately, HC Anil, HC Ravinder and Ct. Satbir reached the spot. On search, 24 cartons of illicit liquor were recovered from the car. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 235/16 u/s 33 of Delhi Excise Act dated 25/04/16 was registered at PS Fatehpur Beri and investigation taken up. During interrogation, accused persons disclosed that they used to procure illicit liquor from Gurgaon, Haryana and supply in JJ clusters of South Delhi and adjoining areas to earn easy money. Both accused are indulged in bootlegging for the last three years.
