A GANG OF ROBBERS OF MANGOL PURI BUSTED, 3 ACCUSED ARRESTED.

In a major breakthrough, Crime Branch has busted a gang of robbers with the arrest of three accused persons namely (i) Balwinder Singh (19 yrs) s/o Mahender Singh r/o G-140, Vijay Vihar, (ii) Sudhir (27 yrs) s/o Mani Ram r/o Jhuggi No. 1, Near Pankaj Gas Agency, Mangol Puri and his brother (iii) Arun (26 yrs) s/o Mani Ram r/o Jhuggi No.1, Near Pankaj Gas Agency, Mangol Puri and worked out a sensational robbery case of PS Mangol Puri within 3 days of registration of case.
Balwinder Singh is the mastermind of this robbery, who is also the complainant of the case of robbery of Rs.5,77,387/- belonging to the company for which he was working. He alongwith his associate stage managed the robbery of Rs.5,77,387/- cash belonging to the company for which he was working and thereafter lodged a false report of robbery.
Robbed cash Rs. 4,57,000/-, jewellery, released from robbed cash of Rs. 1,04,000/- and related 3 Muthoot Finance slips have  been recovered along with ECCO car belonging to accused Sudhir used in the crime. 5 mobile phones used in the commission of crime including one robbed mobile phone have also been recovered.

     On 03.05.2016, Balwinder Singh, who was working as a driver and was tasked for collection of cash and delivery of parcels for Amazon.Com, Peera Garhi, reported to PS Mangol Puri that in the morning he had collected 9 sealed cash parcels from Collection Centres situated in Outer Delhi for his company in EECO Car No. DL-ILV-7245 belonging to the company. At about 12 noon, he refilled CNG gas in his car from Mangol Puri Industrial Area Phase–I. Thereafter, when he was going to Peera Garhi underpass, suddenly two boys on a bike came from behind and signaled him to stop his car. When he did not stop his car, one of the boys broke the back driver side window of his car, and forced him to stop. In the meantime, he noticed that two more boys arrived on another bike and joined them. One of them again broke his driver side front window of his car and hit some object on his head. Then these assailants/robbers had forcibly lifted the 9 sealed cash parcels and one mobile phone from the dash board of his car and fled away from the spot immediately.
     He then reached office of his company office and reported the matter to his senior. The company officials sent one person with him at the place of incident, where he made a PCR call in this regard. Local police reached the spot and registered a case FIR No. 592/16 dated 3.5.16 u/s 394/34 IPC, PS Mangol Puri in this regard. 
In order to check incidents of robbery in Delhi by motorcycle borne criminals, a team of Northern Range led by ACP Kailash Chandra, consisting of Inspr. Ravinder Verma, SIs Baljeet Singh, Sukram Pal, ASIs Mahesh, Savender Singh, HCs Harvinder, Vijay Tyagi, Sunil Sehrawat, Sanjeev Khatana, Cts Sonu and Bijender was constituted under the supervision of DCP Rajeev Sharma to nab such notorious criminals.
        On 06.05.16 at about 6.30 am, a secret input was received that some robbers, who were indulged in Mangol Puri robbery case around 3 days back alongwith complainant of the case, who had lodged false robbery report, would come near Road Mangol Puri Industrial Area Phase-I to share the robbed cash. Accordingly, the team laid a trap at the given place where accused Balwinder Singh (complainant of the case) arrived and was apprehended by the team. During cursory search, two mobile phones including one without SIM, which was reported to be robbed in the case, were recovered.  After some time, two more accused persons namely Sudhir and his brother Arun also arrived on EECO D-Van No.DL-1LW-3423 and both were also apprehended at the spot. From the possession of accused Sudhir one small paper bag containing robbed cash Rs.2,57,000/-, jewellery released from robbed cash of Rs.1,04,000/- and 3 related slips of Muthoot Finance Co. of value Rs.1,04,000/- were recovered. From the possession of his brother Arun, robbed cash Rs.2,00,000/- was also recovered. Two mobile phones from Sudhir and one mobile phone from Arun was recovered. One EECO car, which was used in the commission of crime, has also recovered from their possession.

        Interrogation revealed that the recovered cash was robbed by them from Mangol Puri area which was linked to FIR No. 592/16 dated 03.05.16 u/s 394/34 IPC PS Mangol Puri. Accordingly all the three were arrested u/s 41.1 CrPC.
